Shots Heard 'Round the World: Media, Sports and the Birth of the Dodgers/Giants Rivalry

The USC Annenberg Institute of Sports Media & Society recently hosted "Shots Heard 'Round the World: Media, Sports and the Birth of the Dodgers/Giants Rivalry". This event focused on a discussion of the New York baseball rivalries of the 1950's and the evolution of one of sports' most storied rivalries, a rivalry that has been the focus of some of the most important media moments of the last half century and that has been marred by some of the ugliest acts of violence in American sports.
